• Ripple and CSD BR announced on September 29 a plan to mirror Brazil's R$22 trillion registry on the XRP Ledger.
• BTG Pactual fund shares will be mirrored on the XRP Ledger using the Multi-Purpose Token standard.
• Goldman Sachs' $100 billion FTIXX Treasury fund became accessible on Lynq, a permissioned Avalanche L1.
CSD BR Mirrors R$22 Trillion Registry
Brazil's central securities depository is moving part of its national asset registry onto a public blockchain. CSD BR, the operator authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil and securities regulator CVM to register financial instruments and settle transfers, announced a cooperation with Ripple on September 29 that adds a blockchain-based verification layer to Brazilian investment fund ownership records on the XRP Ledger. The first phase covers investment fund shares held with the depository for investment bank BTG Pactual, which will be mirrored on the public chain using the Multi-Purpose Token (MPT) standard, a configurable token framework that can restrict holding rights to approved users and supports freezing or clawing back tokens. Eligibility is limited to Brazilian corporate and banking institutions that clear identity and anti-money-laundering checks, and CSD BR keeps authority to approve participants and reclaim individual assets when regulators or courts so require. The depository's registered assets total more than R$22 trillion, its existing systems remain the official ownership record, and current processes for investors and issuers continue unchanged. Daniel Polano Spreafico, CSD BR's head of products and clients, called record mirroring “the safest and most responsible way” to introduce new technology into critical market infrastructure. A later phase could bring native issuance of instruments such as real-estate and agribusiness receivable certificates directly on-chain.
Goldman's $100B Fund Reaches Lynq
The Brazil program lands amid a wider push to plug traditional funds into blockchain settlement rails. Goldman Sachs' FTIXX, a Treasury money-market fund with roughly $100 billion in assets, became reachable through Lynq, a private, permissioned settlement network, in a rollout confirmed via an official announcement post on September 28 and a matching notice from tZERO, which co-operates the network. Lynq was built by tZERO, Arca Labs and Tassat and went live in July 2025; in April 2026 Tassat migrated its base to a dedicated permissioned Avalanche L1, preserving interoperability with the public C-Chain while keeping institutional privacy and governance controls. More than 30 digital-asset firms — B2C2, Wintermute, Galaxy, FalconX and Fireblocks among them — participate, allowing qualifying US participants to earn yield on idle settlement cash between trades without leaving familiar infrastructure. Notably, the fund itself is not tokenized: tZERO Securities, a regulated broker-dealer, brokers access to the existing MMF. Tassat states its settlement systems have processed over $2.5 trillion cumulatively, and Lynq already carries Tassat's yield-bearing TFND fund, which has gathered about $90 million and distributed more than $235,000 in interest. Goldman's placement underscores how altcoin-powered settlement networks are now courting TradFi balance sheets.
XRP Seoul 2026 Lineup Expands
The XRP ecosystem is showcasing a parallel track this week: applications built to put idle XRP capital to work. XRP Seoul 2026, scheduled for October 3 at Seoul's Grand Hyatt Hotel during Korea Blockchain Week with Ripple as title sponsor, added a fourth cohort of speakers on September 29 through organizer XRPL Korea: Datavault AI, SOIL, Firelight, Axelar, RedStone and Midnight. The lineup includes Ripple president Monica Long, Datavault AI CEO Nathaniel T. Bradley and SOIL co-founder Nicholas Motz. Datavault AI (Nasdaq: DVLT) disclosed an initial $100 million purchase order for its $QEST tokenization services on September 15 and plans a demo of ADIO, a technology that moves data to smartphones via inaudible sound. SOIL, operating under Abu Dhabi asset manager ORQO, manages vault strategies that pay yield in XRP and RLUSD, Ripple's dollar-tracking stablecoin; deposits stood near $30 million from more than 3,000 depositors as of mid-September. Firelight, incubated by Sentora on the Flare blockchain, exceeded 50 million XRP staked in March and closed an $8 million seed round led by Gumi Cryptos Capital in August. Axelar, whose cross-network transfers have functioned as a bridge protocol for the XRPL EVM sidechain since June 2025, sends Adam Oozeer of development partner Common Prefix, while RedStone co-founder Marcin Kazmierczak represents the oracle provider and Midnight's Japan head Taro Kimura speaks on the privacy tech behind Monument Bank's tokenized deposit partnership targeting up to £250 million. Organizers cite 3,000-plus registered attendees, 40-plus speakers and 200-plus exhibitors.
From Payment Rails to Market Infrastructure
COINOTAG's read: the three items trace one arc — the XRP Ledger is being repositioned from payment rails into regulated market infrastructure. The load-bearing document is the joint Ripple–CSD BR announcement, which states that the depository's own systems remain the official record and that mirrored entries change no participant's legal standing — precisely the design that let a central securities depository adopt a public chain. Seoul's yield and privacy applications extend the same institutional logic toward revenue. Against this backdrop, XRP enters October with September up 8.67% and eyeing a third straight green monthly close, having recently bounced from $1.47 support where the support and resistance structure held, while Wintermute conditions the next leg on an $82,500 Bitcoin breakout holding.
