NEAR Protocol Posts 8.66% Monthly Revenue Gain

@NEARProtocol has recorded $91,903 in monthly on-chain revenue, representing an 8.66% increase over the prior period, according to on-chain data shared by @BSCNews. The uptick, while incremental, adds to a broader growth curve that has been gaining momentum throughout 2026.

The figure sits within a wider trend of accelerating protocol earnings. NEAR generated $15.6 million in revenue during the first four months of 2026, surpassing the network's entire 2025 total of $10 million. That trajectory points to a network that is converting its infrastructure investments into tangible economic output.

Infrastructure Scaling Underpins the Trend

Much of the revenue momentum traces back to deliberate capacity upgrades. In late 2025, the protocol reached 1 million transactions per second in a publicly verifiable benchmark, shipped stateless validation, and expanded from 6 to 9 mainnet shards. More recently, NEAR's protocol fee capture rate rose from an 11.5% lifetime average to 30.5% over the trailing 30 days, and confidential Intents TVL crossed $30 million.

NEAR Intents, launched in late 2024, has grown to facilitate over $22 billion in cumulative cross-chain swap volume across 35 or more blockchains. That cross-chain activity is a key driver of fee generation, as total fees are collected across NEAR Protocol and NEAR Intents activity, with revenue representing the portion captured by the protocol after payouts to integration partners, solvers, and dApps.

On the user side, the numbers are similarly constructive. Weekly active users climbed to 16 million, while daily activity peaked at 3 million unique addresses, eclipsing both Tron and Solana on that metric.

The steady rise in on-chain revenue reinforces NEAR's positioning as a scalable base layer for decentralized applications. NEAR Protocol is maturing into a high-performance Layer-1 platform that balances speed, scalability, and usability without compromising decentralization. Whether the current growth rate holds will depend on continued adoption through its Intents architecture and the broader expansion of its dApp ecosystem.
