A human shopper pauses at checkout because a purchase requires deliberate confirmation. An autonomous agent may not have a checkout moment at all. If the machine is operating under predefined authority, purchasing can become an invisible step inside a larger workflow. An agent could identify a required service, evaluate available options, and authorize payment as part of completing its objective.
