BREAKING NEWS: CONTENT CREATORS TO BE PAID.
President William Ruto of Kenya has announced that two social networks have agreed to pay Content Creators for the content they create in the country following talks he has had with the leaders of those networks.
Ruto said this at the White House yesterday while launching the Kenyan Music Festival where among the companies is Facebook which has agreed to test 25 Kenyan Content Creators to see how their content can generate income.
"Over one year, I have discussed with the Owners of social networks from Facebook, Twitter, TikTok to Youtube and we continued our conversation" —— Ruto.
Ruto's statement comes a few weeks after Elon Musk started paying users of the X network (formerly Twitter) for their content including regular posts and videos and receiving part of the revenue from advertisements where those paid are account holders who have registered on Twitter Blue (X Premium) only and with more than 5 million views per post.
