What's actually happening:

PHP2Shell: Two zero-days in PHP (powers ~70% of websites) let attackers take full server control without passwords. Governments, banks, airlines went offline.

Node2Shell: Days later, similar exploit found in Node.js. Discovered by an OpenAI agent.

JPMorgan, BofA, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo reportedly detecting unauthorized AI agents accessing customer accounts.

Microsoft confirmed China-aligned group used AI agents to attack 2,250+ companies with 2,900 access attempts PER MINUTE. Some gained admin rights in under 3 hours.

Fortinet firewalls (the things protecting corporate/gov networks) have critical vulnerabilities.

Why all at once? AI is finding exploits faster than humans can patch them. Both sides are using AI now. It's a race between the patch and the hacker.

If you're holding crypto: Update passwords. Never enter seed phrases anywhere. Treat every link like it's compromised.

Real crisis or FUD amplification? The signal-to-noise is brutal but the names involved aren't small.
