According to Odaily, Anthony Scaramucci, founder and managing partner of Skybridge Capital, has shared his insights on the prevalence of cryptocurrency ownership in the United States. He stated that based on Google's data, there are 93 million Americans who own cryptocurrency. He criticized senior Democrats, including Biden and Warren, for undermining the cryptocurrency industry and attempting to force industry participants to leave the country, believing that the number of voters in the cryptocurrency field is small. He argued that this is irrational, as even if only 1% of these people are interested in voting, they would lose 930,000 votes. He expressed shock at this level of arrogance in such a fiercely contested election.
Scaramucci further added that according to a report released by Security.org at the beginning of the year, the rate of cryptocurrency ownership in the United States increased by 10 percentage points in 2023. The adoption rate rose from 30% a year ago to 40% today. As a measure of how many Americans own cryptocurrency today, their estimates suggest that as many as 93 million people may hold one or more types of cryptocurrency.
