In Polkadot 2.0, a new paradigm called the JAM chain will be introduced, which will serve as the foundation for blockchains like Polkadot, providing multi-core computing and support for hundreds of chains.
DOT will be an essential component of the JAM architecture. In the JAM architecture, Polkadot's governance mechanism will no longer directly control the issuance of tokens. Instead, this responsibility will be determined by the JAM protocol itself. This significant change could impact the governance and economic model of the Polkadot network.
