Saudi Arabia Reaffirms Position on Abraham Accords and Palestinian Statehood
Saudi Arabia has once again reiterated its long-standing position that normalization of relations with Israel cannot take place without meaningful progress toward the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital.
The Kingdom has consistently stated that the Palestinian issue remains central to regional peace and stability. Saudi officials have emphasized that any future diplomatic arrangements must include a credible pathway toward Palestinian statehood and respect for the rights of the Palestinian people.
Saudi Arabia’s position reflects its broader diplomatic approach of supporting a comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East based on international legitimacy and a two-state solution.
The issue of normalization with Israel remains closely linked to developments regarding Gaza, the West Bank, and efforts to achieve a lasting resolution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.
