Earlier in this session, a spike to 1.827 got hard rejected, dropping price all the way to a 1.666 low and into a long stretch of dull, rangebound chop around 1.66–1.73. That's now behind it — the last leg broke decisively out of that range on the biggest volume bar of the whole chart (300K), pushing straight to a new local high just under the old rejection point. Unlike that first failed spike, this move is holding its ground rather than immediately reversing.

Since the last spike to similar levels failed hard, a clean break and hold above 1.827 is the real confirmation this isn't repeating that same rejection. Slipping back under 1.729 would be the early warning that momentum is stalling. 1.666 stays as the deep invalidation if the range reasserts itself.
