بحسب نبأ عاجل من وكالة «كايلان»: مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي يلاحق القرصان الكوري الشمالي بارك جين هيوك.
يُقدَّر أنه وُلد عام 1981 أو 1984.
ويُقال إنه يحمل الجنسية الكورية الشمالية، ويتحدث الكورية والإنجليزية والصينية.
ومن بين الوقائع التي وجّهت فيها وزارة العدل الأمريكية اتهامات مرتبطة بالقضية:
① الهجوم الإلكتروني على شركة سوني بيكتشرز عام 2014
② سرقة 81 مليون دولار من البنك المركزي البنغلاديشي عام 2016
③ برمجية الفدية «واناكراي» التي شلّت العالم عام 2017
يُشتبه في أنه عمل ضمن منظمة مرتبطة بمكتب الاستطلاع العام في كوريا الشمالية، وقد وُجّهت إليه لائحة اتهام في الولايات المتحدة عام 2018.
حتى إن مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي نشر اسمه الحقيقي وصورته للمساعدة في القبض عليه، لكن آخر مكان معروف لوجوده هو كوريا الشمالية، ما يجعل القبض عليه شخصيًا أمرًا صعبًا.
