🚨 MIDDLE EAST OIL CRISIS: 3 KEY ROUTES UNDER SEVERE PRESSURE 🌍🛢️Three of the Middle East’s most important oil routes are now facing severe disruption, but saying every Gulf state has lost the ability to export oil goes too far. The Strait of Hormuz is operating at only a fraction of normal traffic, yet available tracking data indicates that some vessels continue to transit. Bab al-Mandab has become increasingly hazardous as Houthi forces expand their control and threaten Saudi-linked shipping, but the passage is not completely closed to all commercial traffic. The clearest shutdown is Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline, which authorities temporarily stopped after multiple drone attacks. That pipeline had become essential for moving Saudi crude to Yanbu and bypassing the Hormuz bottleneck. Its loss sharply restricts Saudi export flexibility, but existing inventories, Red Sea terminals, and other infrastructure mean exports have not fallen to zero. The UAE also operates a pipeline to Fujairah that avoids Hormuz. This remains an extremely dangerous energy crisis: reduced tanker movements, damaged infrastructure, soaring insurance costs, and shrinking spare routes could push prices significantly higher. The accurate warning is not that Gulf oil exports have ended, but that the system has become dangerously fragile.
