BitTorrent has announced that it will launch a BTTC Buyback & Burn Program starting in Q3 2026.

100% of the revenue generated from BitTorrent’s decentralized services will be used to buy BTTC. The purchased BTT will then be sent to a burn address, permanently removing those tokens from circulation.

The first burn is planned to be completed around mid-October 2026, with the actual burn amount and percentage expected to be disclosed on-chain.

According to your screenshot, BTTC currently has approximately 987.04 trillion BTT in circulating and total supply. Therefore, it would not be correct to say that the supply will decrease very rapidly right away.
