🚨 WARNING FOR $XRP HOLDERS: A BUG COULD HAVE CREATED XRP OUT OF THIN AIR

XRP Ledger recently disclosed a serious vulnerability involving an overflow/miscalculation issue that, under specific conditions, could have resulted in new XRP being created.

Before anyone panics the issue was reportedly fixed before public disclosure, and RippleX said there was no evidence it had been exploited on the public network.

But this is exactly why I keep saying: never assume any blockchain is completely untouchable.

Bitcoin had a similar overflow bug in 2010.
Zcash later faced a vulnerability that could theoretically have allowed counterfeit ZEC.

The difference is that Bitcoin’s bug was actually exploited, while the XRP and Zcash issues were reportedly patched before attackers could take advantage.

And now the bigger question:

Should crypto teams FIX critical bugs quietly first and disclose them later?
Or should holders be informed immediately?

Because fixing it first may protect the network from attackers…
but delayed disclosure can also raise serious transparency questions.

For XRP holders, I wouldn’t panic over this alone but this is definitely something worth understanding instead of blindly ignoring.

Security matters. Transparency matters even more.
