I almost released a Binance P2P sell order that looked perfectly clean. The buyer marked Paid, the exact amount hit my account, and the USDT was still in Escrow. Then I checked the sender’s name: it wasn’t the person in the Order.

That mismatch stayed with me. Binance knew who was buying; my bank knew who sent the money both were telling the truth. Nothing had failed. What was missing was the “=” between those two truths.

I went back through the Terms, payment details, and Order Chat. Until everything matched, the USDT stayed in Escrow. If it couldn’t be verified, I’d open an Appeal and let Binance P2P Support review the case instead of making the assumption myself. Real money + real buyer still doesn’t automatically = the right Order.

It reminded me of a basic rule of logic: two true statements don’t automatically make the relationship between them true. Release is where an assumption becomes an irreversible action. Since then, “Did the money arrive?” hasn’t been enough. The final “=” is still mine to verify before I press Release.

There was one small detail on Binance P2P that I had overlooked for months. A completed order from days ago still contained its Order ID, chat history, payment details, and Escrow status. At first, I assumed it was simply there as a transaction record. But if that were the only purpose, Binance wouldn’t need to preserve every detail so carefully.

After reading through Binance’s Appeal process, I realized the system is actually preserving something much more important: the ability to reconstruct the entire transaction if a dispute ever arises. That realization changed the way I trade.

Before sending any payment, I always review my trading partner’s completion rate, trading history, and verify that the bank account name matches the one shown in the order. Throughout the transaction, I keep every conversation inside the Binance P2P chat. If anyone asks me to continue on Telegram, WhatsApp, or any other platform or requests a different payment account midway - I simply stop. Not because I automatically assume bad intentions, but because the moment a trade leaves the platform, the chain of verifiable evidence begins to break.

The final step is just as important. I never release crypto based on a payment screenshot alone. I log into my banking app and confirm that the funds have actually arrived before tapping Release. Even after a trade is complete, I keep the Order ID and payment receipt for a while. Hopefully I’ll never need them. But if I ever have to file an Appeal, I’d rather rely on verifiable records than on memory.

What I value most about Binance P2P isn’t just Escrow itself. Escrow protects the assets during the transaction. The lasting value lies in how Binance preserves the complete trail of evidence to help protect users who followed the proper process. Maybe a P2P trade doesn’t truly end when you press Release. It ends only when the system no longer needs to prove what happened.
