They promised 2–4% EVERY week. Then vanished with $1.16 billion. 💸
This week, New York's Attorney General asked a court for a $1.37 BILLION judgment against the founders of NovaTech — a crypto "investment" scheme that ran from 2019 to 2023.
Here's what actually happened: • Over $1.16B was deposited by everyday people — many recruited through prayer groups and WhatsApp chats. • Only ~$26M ever reached actual trading. The rest? Gone. • The founders fled. They never even showed up in court. The scheme collapsed in 2023.
🚩 3 red flags to tattoo on your brain: 1. "Guaranteed" weekly returns — real markets never guarantee anything. 2. Recruitment through trusted circles — scammers borrow YOUR trust. 3. Pressure to bring friends in — that's the pyramid, not the product.
Today's market was red too: $BTC slipped to ~$80,600 (-1.2%), below its 50-day average for the first time in 66 days, and liquidations hit ~$440M. Red days make "guaranteed return" pitches even more tempting — and even more dangerous.
If a "guaranteed 3% a week" offer lands in YOUR WhatsApp today, what do you do? 👇
Good morning, crypto ☀️ $BTC woke up near $80,960 — down ~1.1% over 24h after drifting between $80.4K and $82.3K overnight.
Overnight movers: • ~$5.9B in BTC + ETH options expire today at 08:00 UTC (Deribit) — watch for volatility around settlement. • An early ETH whale — bought 100K ETH at $0.31 in the ICO — sold 1,000 ETH overnight. A small sale, but markets always notice. • Bear calls are back: Standard Chartered warns BTC could fall to $50K before stabilizing, while CryptoQuant calls $55K a realistic bottom.
Levels I'm watching: • Resistance: $82.3K (overnight high) — a flip above $83K would turn the daily trend back up. • Support: $80.4K (overnight low), then $79.5K.
Notable: US Ethereum ETFs saw $161M in outflows this week, and the next big macro event is the Fed meeting on Oct 27–28.
A trader here on Square shared her $MITO futures long — closed at -$1,916.76 USDT. Binance listed MITO for futures just 15 months ago. Now it's being delisted with only TWO days' notice.
Whether you hold $MITO or not, this is the lesson nobody posts about until it happens to them:
⚠️ Delisting risk is real. Small-cap futures can disappear with almost no warning. 🧯 Never go all-in on one low-cap coin — position size is survival. 📉 When a delisting notice drops, the exit door gets crowded fast. Plan your exit BEFORE the panic.
Big names like $BTC don't carry this risk the same way. Hype fades; risk management doesn't.

🌙 Evening Recap — Oct 23: $82.5K Held, But ETFs Flipped
$BTC closed the day near $81,597, down ~1.7% in 24h. The morning's map played out cleanly: $82.5K acted as a ceiling all day (options expiry max pain did its thing), and $80.9K support was tested but held. No breakdown, no breakout — just expiry chop, exactly as warned.
💡 The notable shift: US spot BTC ETFs swung to a $635.6M outflow on Thursday — the biggest single-day outflow since June (IBIT led at -$254M). Three straight days of $1B+ inflows, then institutions hit the exit button. That's the first real crack in this week's dip-buying story.
📊 By the numbers: 24h liquidations hit ~$285M (82% longs — levered bulls got punished), $ETH held ~$2,397 near the $2.4K magnet, and Fear & Greed sits at 50 — perfectly neutral, market can't decide.
👀 Next cue: FOMC, Oct 27–28. Until then, we're boxed between $82.5K and $80.9K. A daily close outside that range is the real signal.
Did you hold through the chop, or did the expiry scare you out? 👇
Overnight, BTC slipped to ~$81.6K, down ~3% in 24 hours. This one wasn't crypto's fault — Wall Street led the way: the Nasdaq dropped 2.6%, Meta fell ~7% on fresh doubts about Big Tech's AI spending, and Brent crude pushed past $110 on Middle East tensions. Risk-off hit everything, and crypto followed. ETH dropped to ~$2,400, and the Fear & Greed Index slid from 68 to 50 — Greed to Neutral in a single day.
📍 Levels I'm watching: • Resistance: $82.5K (today's options expiry max pain is sitting right there, 08:00 UTC) → $84K, the ceiling that rejected price twice this week • Support: $80.9K (last night's low) → $79.8K, which has held many times
💡 Notable: US spot BTC ETFs pulled in $1B+ over the first three days of the week (SoSoValue) — institutions kept buying the dip while retail panicked.
👀 Watchlist today: Friday's 08:00 UTC options expiry, US jobless claims, and Brent crude — if oil keeps climbing, risk assets stay under pressure. Next week: FOMC, Oct 27–28.
Are you buying this dip, or waiting for the expiry dust to settle? 👇
The morning levels didn't hold. After yesterday's push toward $84.9K, sellers took over and $BTC slid to ~$81,784, down 2.1% on the day — the $82.5K support from the morning outlook is gone.
What moved it: mixed Tesla and Meta earnings revived doubts about AI spending, equities sank (Nasdaq futures -1.3%, Hang Seng -3%+), and oil spiked past $110 on Middle East tensions. Crypto followed stocks lower — $ETH at ~$2,400 (-2.6%), the DeFi index down 5.6%.
The counterweight: spot Bitcoin ETFs have still pulled in $1B+ in the first three days of this week (SoSoValue). Big-money demand is intact — today's move looks like risk-off, not a BTC-specific break.
My levels now: 🔼 Resistance: $82.5K → $84.9K. Reclaim $82.5K to stop the bleed. 🔽 Support: $80.9K → $80K. Hold the line here. ⚠️ Friday 23 Oct 08:00 UTC options expiry — max pain sits at $82.5K, so expect chop into Friday.
Dip buyers got a gift today; bears got confirmation. Which side are you on heading into the expiry? 👇
🌅 Morning Outlook — Oct 22: $85K Said No (For Now)
Bitcoin pushed toward $85,000 overnight, but sellers were waiting. Profit-taking in Asia pulled $BTC back to around $83,291, and the range game continues.
The flow story is still supportive: US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in about $550M in just two days (Oct 19–20), led by BlackRock's IBIT. That is real institutional demand, not just leverage.
But watch the divergence: $ETH H sits at $2,442, yet Ether ETFs have lost $1.08B in October — the biggest monthly outflow of 2026. BTC gets the inflows, ETH gets the exits.
My levels today: 🔼 Resistance: $84.3K → $85K. A clean break opens $87.4K. 🔽 Support: $82.5K → $79.8K, the floor buyers have defended again and again.
Next catalysts: US jobless claims today, and the big one — the FOMC on Oct 27–28. In a Reuters poll, 94 of 100 economists expect a hold, but December hike talk keeps traders cautious.
Until $85K breaks, this is a range, not a trend. Are you buying the dip at support, or waiting for the $85K break? 👇
From this morning's $82.7K to $83,588 now (+2.75%) — and it wasn't smooth sailing. Over $119M in shorts got liquidated in under an hour when $83K broke. Textbook short squeeze.
$ETH quietly outperformed at +3.53% ($2,470) — funny, because its ETFs bled for a 5th straight day. Price and flows don't always agree.
Levels I'm watching: • BTC resistance: $83.6K / $84.5K • BTC support: $82.3K / $81K ($80K is the line in the sand) • ETH: resistance $2,535, support $2,410
Next catalyst: Fed meeting Oct 27–28. Until then, volatility is the only guarantee.
Do you think BTC holds above $83.6K into tomorrow? 👇
Bitcoin is trading at $82,766 (+0.94%) after a choppy 24 hours inside the $81.3K–$83.4K range. $ETH is up 1.7% at $2,446 — altcoins are quietly following.
What I'm watching today: • $83.5K — the sell wall above; a daily close through it flips momentum • $81K–$80K — support zone; QCP Capital warns $80K is at risk if equities keep weakening • Demand signal: US spot ETFs pulled +$526.7M net on Oct 19 — biggest in a month, with BlackRock's IBIT at its largest inflow in over a year
Until one of these levels breaks, it's a range to respect — not a trend to chase.
Where do you think BTC closes today: above $83K or back toward $81K? 👇
#Bitcoin #BTC #CryptoMarket Not financial advice — just my market notes.
Bitcoin pushed to $83.3K today but got rejected at the 21-day moving average — again. Buyers keep defending the 50-day average near $81.5K, and that fight is the whole story right now.
The interesting part? While price chops sideways, US spot Bitcoin ETFs just posted their biggest inflow day in a month (~$527M on Monday, led by BlackRock's IBIT). Institutions are buying this range — even while options traders pay up for downside protection.
My watchlist: • Daily close above $83.2K → momentum opens up • Losing $81.5K → the $80K support gets tested fast • Until then: it's a range, not a breakout
