was i just holdin BTC without ever askin what else it could do......

for years my only plan was buy it...

forget it....

check the price once a week...

never once thought abt putting it to work.

the more i realized this is not about changing bitcoin...

its abt giving it a second job while u still hold the keys...

maybe the real question is should BTC sit idle....

But when we replace traditional counterparties with hard code...

we are not always destroying risk...

we might just be migrating it

we will only really know once volatility tests it for real...

so...... is trustless design enough by itself....

or does confidence only come after a project survives a few brutal cycles?

Guys...... big news.

Coldcard had a bug.

It made some wallet keys easy to guess.

Hackers took about 594 BTC fast.

Maybe more, close to 1,080 BTC total now.

That's real money gone.

From wallets people thought were 100% safe.

BTC price barely moved though.

Market did not care.

But u should care.

If u use Coldcard, update ur firmware now.

Don't wait.

Move to a new seed after update.

Old one might not be safe anymore.

Lesson here...... "cold wallet" does not mean "no risk" wallet.

Always double check. Always update.

i Never thought to say this but Bitcoin actually got me curious again.

i was bored at 1am, clicking random docs instead of charts. Ended up on Babylon page by accident.

i almost closed the tab first.

Thought it a another wrap-ur-BTC pitch.

BTC just sit on Bitcoin. Doesnt move.

Other chain borrow its security somehow.

Took me 3 read to get that part.

i found the checkpointing thing after that.

i never once think about how PoS chains protect its own history before.

Turns out thats a real problem.

So messing with it mean messing with Bitcoin itself.
