It has launched a $400 million private-credit fund with Fasanara Capital, aiming to attract up to $3 billion in outside capital to lend to small and medium-sized businesses. The loans will use Tether's USDT infrastructure for settlement.
That's a pretty wild evolution: a crypto company whose flagship product is a digital dollar is now trying to become part of the machinery that actually finances businesses.
So the bigger crypto story isn't just "Bitcoin going up."
