BREAKING:

The US 30 year yield just crashed below 5.20% after the Treasury doubled its long term bond buybacks.

The yield hit 5.337% yesterday, a 19 year high, before dropping to 5.189%.

A buyback is when the Treasury goes into the market and buys back bonds it already issued.

That takes supply out of the market and pushes prices up, which pulls yields down.

Treasury is doubling the size of these operations in the 10 to 30 year sector from $2 billion to $4 billion each, starting September 9 and running through November 4.

Treasury says this is about liquidity, not the level of yields.

The timing still matters.

The announcement landed the same week borrowing costs hit their highest level since 2007, and the market read it as the government stepping in to support its own debt.

🚨BREAKING:

BitMart founder denies an explosive letter attacking management, claiming hackers posted it through the company’s Chinese X account.

An open letter, apparently posted by employees, demanded answers from Sheldon Xia and Yi Li by August 19 about:

- Where users’ money went
- Why withdrawals were restricted
- Accounts allegedly linked to management
- Allegedly unpaid employee wages
- How and when users will be repaid

It threatens to send its evidence to regulators and police if management fails to respond.

Xia said the account was "hacked" and that the letter was "not posted by any current employee."

This comes amid BitMart’s shutdown, as users report they cannot access their balances.
