Binance experienced an outflow of BTC, ETH and others due to a hacking incident, which has led to a decrease in their reserves.
Nevertheless, its current reserves remain higher than they were last May. The BTC reserve decline has only brought them back to the levels seen in early October.
Binance is currently repurchasing the stolen funds via the OTC market, using its own secure assets to recover what was lost.
Once the situation is fully resolved, we will be able to see how investors choose to act.
It remains to be seen whether they will continue to use Binance or withdraw their funds and move them to other exchanges.
What is clear, however, is that the stolen assets represent only a portion of the funds owned by Binance itself.
