Chainlink has launched a tool that makes cross-chain DeFi deposits easier.
The tool, called CCIP Vault Adapters, launched Oct 8. It lets a vault on one blockchain accept deposits straight from people on more than 80 other chains, instead of making them bridge manually first. Early users include Aave and Venus, plus asset issuers like Lombard and Maple.
$LINK is trading near $13.36 on Binance, up about 2.2% in the last 24 hours.
Normally, using a vault on another chain means bridging it yourself, hoping you picked a safe bridge, then depositing separately. One click is simpler.
But simpler isn't the same as safer. Your funds still cross a bridge and pass through smart contracts, just automatically. Both can still fail or be exploited, so the risk is just less visible, not gone.
Would easier cross-chain tools like this bring more people into DeFi, or just make it easier to deposit into something you don't fully understand? #Chainlink #DeFi
