Ethos will buy back WHUF from its auction buyers at $3.57 a token. On Coinbase, WHUF trades near $2.60, about 27% below that.

The September auction cleared at $4.20 and raised $8.4M for 20% of the 10M supply. Buyers who vouched their tokens before the Oct 8 unlock, and kept them vouched, can sell them back to the Ethos Foundation for 85% of cost in USDC until Oct 8, 2027, after KYC. Everyone else holds a token down about 38% from the sale price, and about 25% in the last 24 hours.

The foundation's own dashboard shows 36 requests so far, for 24,736 WHUF. Seven were invalid because the tokens were never vouched or had been moved. 29 are still being checked. None have been paid yet.

By our math, that's under 2% of the roughly 1.37M tokens analyst Naeven counted as still covered on Friday. If all of them were redeemed, Ethos would owe about $4.9M, 58% of what the sale raised.

The refund is worth 37% more than the token. Only vouched auction buyers can claim it.
