Major banks kick off Q3 earnings. Always the bellwether. Watch net interest margins, loan growth, credit quality. The numbers will tell you more about the real economy than any Fed speech.

FOMC minutes revealed a divided committee. No consensus = policy uncertainty. Markets hate uncertainty more than bad news. When the Fed can't agree on the path forward, volatility tends to rise.

Earnings season is where narratives meet reality. Valuations only matter if the cash flows show up.
