$SPCX has an interesting setup heading into one of SpaceX’s biggest tests yet.

Shares slipped 0.3% overnight after Gwynne Shotwell disclosed a proposed sale of 342,170 shares worth about $52M. The filing says the shares fall under a Rule 10b5-1 plan adopted in June, so I wouldn’t automatically read the sale as a bearish signal.

The bigger catalyst for me is Starship Flight 14. SpaceX is targeting September 28 for its first planned orbital flight, pending regulatory approval, with the mission expected to deploy 26 Starlink V3 satellites.

That matters because Starship is becoming increasingly important to SpaceX’s next phase: higher-capacity Starlink deployment, satellite-to-mobile services and eventually orbital AI compute.
