Foresight News reported that South African lender Absa Bank has officially launched a digital asset custody service supported by Ripple. According to Foresight News, Ripple announced a strategic partnership with Absa Bank in October 2025 to provide digital asset custody services for the bank's customers in South Africa.
Through the collaboration, Absa will use Ripple's institutional-grade digital asset custody technology to store tokenized assets, including cryptocurrencies.
