STRATEGY RETURNS TO BITCOIN ACCUMULATION — BUT ETF FLOWS SEND A WARNING

Strategy has reportedly purchased 4,603 BTC for approximately $369.7 million, at an average price of $80,318 per BTC, during the period from August 24–30. The purchase marks the company’s first reported Bitcoin acquisition since June, bringing its total holdings to approximately 845,050 BTC, valued at more than $66 billion based on the stated figures.

CORPORATE CONVICTION REMAINS STRONG

The return of Strategy’s buying activity reinforces the long-term Bitcoin treasury narrative. Large corporate purchases can signal continued conviction in BTC as a strategic asset, particularly when accumulation occurs around major psychological price levels.

But the broader market is sending a more mixed message.

ETF FLOWS AND MACD SHOW CAUTION

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs reportedly recorded around $236.5 million in net outflows on September 1, suggesting institutional demand was not uniformly positive at the start of the month.

Meanwhile, the MACD remains negative, indicating that short-term momentum has yet to fully recover. September’s historically weaker seasonal performance is also adding another layer of caution to market sentiment.

TWO FORCES COLLIDE

On one side, Strategy is accumulating BTC again, strengthening the long-term institutional narrative. On the other, ETF outflows and weak momentum suggest that short-term buyers still face resistance.

The key question now is whether corporate accumulation can offset seasonal weakness and renewed ETF selling pressure.
