Your 5-minute chart is loud. The higher timeframe tells you whether it matters. 🔎

A sharp green candle on the 5m can feel like a breakout.

But zoom out to the 4H, and it may be nothing more than a small bounce inside a clear downtrend.

That’s the trap: confusing short-term noise with a real change in direction.

Try this top-down routine:

• Start on 4H or 1H: identify the main structure
• Mark key support and resistance there
• Drop to 15m or 5m only to time the entry
• Keep your lower-timeframe trade aligned with the bigger picture

Example:

The 4H chart is making lower highs and lower lows. On the 5m, price pumps through a minor level. Chasing that long means you’re betting against the larger trend—often straight into higher-timeframe resistance. ⚠️

The smaller chart is for precision, not permission.

Practical rule: if you cannot explain the higher-timeframe trend in one sentence, don’t let a fast candle make the decision for you.
