#DBS Group has officially announced it will offer tokenized physical gold to retail clients, integrating the asset directly into its main DBS digibank app.

Backed 1:1 by real bullion secured in the bank's vaults, each token represents 1 gram of physical gold, enabling fractional ownership and 24/7 trading.

The product lowers entry barriers for retail investors and includes a physical redemption option, with plans to expand the asset to DBS’s institutional digital exchange later this year.
