当人们提到“CZ”这个在全球加密货币世界几乎家喻户晓的缩写时，很容易想到的是庞大的交易系统、区块链革命的浪潮、监管的风暴，以及他那个被无数人羡慕的“币圈首富”称号。
然而，在币安成为世界上最大的加密货币交易所之前，赵长鹏曾是一位来自中国东部沿海小城的少年。他成长于时代转折的边缘，从知识分子家庭走出，又被社会风暴裹挟，最终漂洋过海抵达加拿大——那是一个经济秩序与价值观与中国全然不同的国度。
理解赵长鹏的早年，不仅是为了还原他个人的成长轨迹，更是窥探一个时代的缩影：上世纪八十年代末，中国改革开放初期的知识分子命运，冷战尾声时世界的移民潮，以及一位带着技术天赋的华人如何在移民子弟的身份中找到自己的方向。
二、知识精英
1977年，赵长鹏出生于中国江苏省连云港——这座城市位于中国东部沿海，是“新亚欧大陆桥”的起点之一。上世纪七十年代末，连云港还只是一个带有浓厚农业与港口气息的三线小城，工业化刚刚起步。 对于连云港至关重要的“新亚欧大陆桥”直到1990年9月才全线贯通。
赵家属于典型的知识分子家庭。赵长鹏的父亲赵生凯（有资料译为Shengkai Zhao，此前中文报道中翻译为赵盛凯是音译的错误）是当地一所高校的教师，母亲则在教育或科研系统工作。据ChainCatcher等采访资料显示，赵父是一位受文革影响极深的“知识青年”——在上世纪七十年代被贴上“资产阶级知识分子”标签，下放农村劳动多年，直到改革开放后才重返讲台。
而根据我的搜索与研究，赵生凯更早的经历无从找寻，但根据公开信息得知，赵生凯1970年毕业于位于合肥的中国科技大学，1981年在中国科技大学获得硕士学位。
如果说70年代的大学生属于工农兵大学生，那么81年的硕士，那基本上就是恢复高考之后的首批大学生/研究生，这在当时绝对属于知识精英。而70年至77（或者78）年之间的七八年，也就是我们所周知的文革时期，赵生凯大概率就如同上述报道所述在农村劳动，这样符合当时知识青年的时代背景。

当时正处于改革开放初期，物质条件普遍缺乏，尤其是对于知识分子而言，当时社会上流传这么一句话“造导弹的不如卖茶叶蛋的”。虽然赵生凯在知名大学任教，但地球物流是较为冷门的学科，待遇并不高；这样的家庭背景，使得赵长鹏的童年在物质上并不宽裕，却在精神上极为饱满。家中书籍众多，父亲对科学与理性的信仰成为早期家庭教育的核心。
赵生凯是那个年代典型的理想主义者。他信奉科学、教育与开放思维——这些理念在“文革”后期被压抑，却在八十年代初在中科大的校园里再次萌芽。

就在这样的背景下，赵生凯——一位受过良好教育的地球物理学研究者——收到加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚大学（University of British Columbia, UBC）的博士offer。按理说，这是知识分子难得的上升路径：一个通往世界学术前沿的平台。但在 1989 年，这样的机会更像是一艘“逃离”的船。对当时情况有所了解的读者应该能理解我所写的“逃离”的背后涵义。

赵生凯用了很短的时间就做出了决定。外界环境虽复杂，但学术道路总要继续，生活也得继续。改变未尝不是好事。最终，他选择先独自赴加读博，妻子与孩子随后再迁往温哥华。他需要为家人打好前站。
对 12 岁的赵长鹏来说，这个选择如同一阵从成年人世界吹来的强风，他不太懂其中的含义，只知道即将离开父亲常说的“熟悉的土壤”。
三个月后，母亲带着他踏上前往加拿大的飞机跨越了整个太平洋，去追寻他父亲的足迹。从此，他的成长轨迹与中国千千万万同龄人分岔。
那一年，他第一次见识到机场的喧嚣、飞机机舱的有限空间、时差带来的恍惚感——也第一次意识到，这次旅行不只是地理移动，而是一种彻底的生活更新。
2. 温哥华的初到之境
关于赵家初到加拿大的经历，多家媒体曾在报道中提及，包括《Macleans》《ChainCatcher》等英文与中文媒体的资料都提到，赵家落脚在温哥华东区一间普通的出租屋。这片区域当时是华人新移民最常居住的地方：街道上是混合着英语、粤语和普通话的嘈杂，出租屋楼下的店铺多半是杂货店、小饭馆和二手店。
这里既没有移民传说中的富裕气息，也没有“新大陆”的浪漫，更多是“如何活下去”的务实氛围。邻里之间乡音不再。

3. 少年的自我锤炼
赵长鹏的第一次打工，是在温哥华的一家麦当劳。这份工作在当地并不稀奇，很多青少年都会选择来快餐店打工，但对于初来乍到的移民孩子而言则是另一层意义：语言、文化、节奏、尊严，都需要一次次地重新适应。
他需要在收银台用流利的英文回答客人的问题；清洁桌面；在快节奏的厨房系带围裙、分配汉堡；下班时要搭末班公车回家，有时是夜晚十一点，车上坐着形形色色的人，安静又压抑，甚至偶尔还带着一丝风险的气息。
那些经历塑造了他的底色。
他说自己从小就看到了“钱从哪里来”，也理解父母为何对每一分钱都谨慎。他也从第一次领到工资起，就明白一个人在资源匮乏的环境里能否站住脚，很大程度上取决于是否愿意付出多少的努力。
除了麦当劳，他后来还做过加油站的夜班工作。冬天的加拿大风比刀子还冷，时常还会伴随着暴风雪，深夜的加油站真的是一个孤单而寒冷的场所。大多数孩子在这个年龄还在父母怀里撒娇，而他已经站在收银台后面，学会了观察陌生人，也学会了极端情况下的应对能力。
这些经历在他后来进入币圈、面对市场波动和舆论冲击时，都成为一种深层的心理韧性。他不是“含着金钥匙的创业者”，也不是西方优渥环境下长大的精英。他的成长更像是典型“移民之子”的轨迹：逼迫自己快速成熟，把每个挑战当作向上的阶梯。

Jan. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Startups in the Web3 space received $7,169,997,888 in funding in 2022, according to Metaverse Post's year-end report. The report divides startups into categories such as gaming, metaverse, social networking, infrastructure, AR&VR, and AI. Gaming, metaverse and social networking were the top three investment categories, receiving $4.49 billion (62.5% of total Web3 investments), $1.82 billion (25.4%) and $259.1 million (3.6%), respectively. The infrastructure, AR&VR and AI categories were $208 million, $178.6 million and $136.5 million, respectively.

 Nov. 28 - Game7 launched a $100 million grant program to accelerate Web3 game development that will allow developers to build tools, create educational programs, host events, and conduct research to make the Web3 video game industry more diverse and accessible. The $100 million grant will be distributed at $20 million per year for the next five years.
