How did I lose a thousand dollars?

I only had 20 dollars in USDT, so I reinforced with that, and during the American elections, the currency rose, so I withdrew 900 dollars and invested it in some of my other currencies, and the profits remained. After that, the currency rose, and I had 2500 dollars of it.
Greed took over me, and since the currency is one of the projects sponsoring Trump's inauguration and Trump's son is an investor in it, I wanted to exit and sell at 3000 dollars, but the surprise was that when Trump was inaugurated, the cryptocurrency market dropped, and the currency reached 2000 instead of 2500. After a while, I sold at a price of 1500 dollars and exited, losing a realized profit of 1000 dollars.
Greed causes losses; a thousand dollars for reinforcement now in a bearish market equals 10,000 dollars in the future.
Do not enter all at once into any currency; it is preferable to enter with DCA.
