Eaton US Data Center Backlog Grows to 307 GW, or 15 Years of Build Backlog at 2025 Rates

Eaton Corp reported that its total US data center backlog has grown to 307 gigawatts, equivalent to 15 years of backlog at 2025 build rates, up from 12 years in its last update.

Only roughly 20% of this backlog converts near term, with the majority translating to 2028 and beyond deliveries.

@CrowdStrike's SafeMind cuts AI security query cost to $0.03 vs. $10 for frontier models, a 99% reduction

At Fal.Con 2026, CrowdStrike introduced SafeMind, described by @GoldmanSachs as the clearest example of the company moving from AI security vision to product architecture.

SafeMind is built on CrowdStrike's Cyber Superintelligence Lab, which takes @Nvidia Nemotron open-source and open-weight models and trains them on CrowdStrike's 15+ year history of kill chain datapoints and human reinforcement labelled data.

Specifically, remediations with SafeMind now cost as little as $0.03 per query, versus frontier models at $10/query, a 99% reduction in cost per the report. CrowdStrike plans to monetize SafeMind through token packs supported by Falcon Flex.

Goldman Sachs argues that domain-specific SLMs may offer a more compelling value proposition to enterprises than frontier models, as pairing LLM foundations with proprietary domain-specific training data can yield better results.
