A new Swiss franc stablecoin just went live on Solana, with compliance built right into the token.
On November 3, 2026, Zug-based fintech Safirum launched CHF-S on $SOL using the Token-2022 standard. Every token is backed 1:1 by Swiss francs held in segregated accounts at Berner Kantonalbank and Banque Richelieu, with more custodian banks planned. New tokens are issued through institutional investors, and retail users can reach CHF-S through integrated partners or DEXs.
The twist is whitelisting. Following FINMA Supervisory Notice 06/2024, every holder passes a KYC or KYB check, and the smart contract blocks transfers to unverified wallets. Safirum says it earns mainly from transfer fees (0.05%, capped at 0.50 CHF-S) rather than reserve yield. Target uses include cross-border business payments, treasury, exchange settlement and tokenized assets.
