AI giants are fighting over .agent, and crypto firms want .bitcoin, .wallet and .crypto.

Per CryptoSlate, ICANN revealed 1,615 applications for new top-level domains, its first round since 2012. There are 11 bids for .bit, five for .crypto and four each for .wallet and .dao. Frax Finance applied for .frax, and the Cardano Foundation's .ada bid moved to the next stage.

My view: a .wallet address on the normal web could help people trust payment links. But $FRAX or anyone else winning a domain does not add any onchain function by itself.

💬 Would a crypto domain ending make you trust a site more?
