🇺🇸🇮🇷 For the third time, the House has voted to end the war with Iran.
The latest War Powers resolution passed 220-204, with every Democrat and 7 Republicans voting to halt U.S. military action without congressional approval.
That's up from 4 Republicans in the previous votes.
The war Trump launched on February 28 was expected to last weeks. Nearly 7 months later, strikes are still being exchanged, Hormuz remains disrupted and the conflict has already cost more than $38 billion.
In practical terms, the vote is largely symbolic. Trump can veto the resolution, and almost certainly will, while previous House efforts never even reached his desk.
But with Republican defections growing and the midterms less than 50 days away, the political cost of a war that was supposed to be short is getting harder to ignore.
