Announcement No. 7 of 2025 from the Tariff Commission
To implement the important consensus from the high-level economic and trade talks between China and the United States, according to the (Tariff Law of the People's Republic of China), (Customs Law of the People's Republic of China), (Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China), and other laws and regulations, as well as the basic principles of international law, and with the approval of the State Council, starting from May 14, 2025, at 12:01 PM, adjustments will be made to the tariff measures imposed on imported goods originating from the United States. The relevant matters are as follows:
1. Adjust the increased tariff rates stipulated in the (Announcement of the State Council Tariff Policy Committee on the Increased Tariff on Imported Goods Originating from the United States) (Announcement No. 4 of 2025 from the Tariff Commission) from 34% to 10%, and suspend the implementation of the 24% additional tariff on the U.S. for 90 days.
2. Cease the implementation of the (Announcement of the State Council Tariff Policy Committee on Adjustments to the Increased Tariff Measures on Imported Goods Originating from the United States) (Announcement No. 5 of 2025 from the Tariff Commission) and (Announcement of the State Council Tariff Policy Committee on Adjustments to the Increased Tariff Measures on Imported Goods Originating from the United States) (Announcement No. 6 of 2025 from the Tariff Commission).
