Red board, one green line. $HYPE is +10.4% on the day at 89.07 while BTC slid 4.2% to ~77,960.
What happened: HYPE sat flat around 79 until 10:00 UTC, then ran almost straight up to 97.74. Spot volume on Binance printed ~$162M over 24h, roughly 8x its average daily volume from the six days before. That's real participation, not a thin-book wick.
But it's now ~9% off the high and the last few hourly candles are red, so part of the move is already being handed back.
Elsewhere the damage is heavy: $BNB -8.0% (760 → 699) on ~4.8x normal volume, and $STRK -10.2%, now down almost 20% on the week.
Relative strength in a selloff can be a signal, or just the last coin standing before it catches down too. Volatile names like HYPE and STRK can swing 10% either way in hours, so size accordingly.
Is HYPE's divergence the real thing, or does it follow BTC lower by the weekend?
Not financial advice.
