Emmett Shear, the newly appointed leader at OpenAI, has announced his intentions to initiate extensive changes within the company during his first month in office. Central to his plans will be the reform of the artificial intelligence startup's management as well as an in-depth investigation into the recent dismissal of its co-founder and former CEO, Sam Altman.

Shear aims to appoint an independent investigator to thoroughly probe into the procedures and communication techniques involved in Altman's ouster. He candidly admitted in an earlier post on X that the handling of this situation had been terrible and resulted in a damaging blow to OpenAI's credibility.
