From last night to this morning, multiple altcoins pumped hard by following BTC’s trend, clearly showing strong market momentum.
However, many traders made a critical mistake. Instead of going long with the trend or staying out, they aggressively shorted coins like $LUNC , and $GENIUS just because prices looked “too high.”
This mindset is dangerous.
Markets don’t move based on what feels high. In strong trends, prices can go much higher than expected. Shorting without a stop-loss in such conditions often leads to heavy losses or even complete account wipeouts.
A clear example is RAVE, which moved from 0.5 to 28 USD. Anyone shorting that rally would not have survived the move.

Tokens with the Monitoring Tag exhibit notably higher volatility and risks compared to other listed tokens. These tokens are closely monitored, with regular reviews conducted. Keep in mind that tokens with the Monitoring Tag are at risk of no longer meeting our listing criteria and being delisted from the platform.
To gain trading access to tokens marked with the Monitoring Tag, users will need to pass the quiz every 90 days on the Binance Spot and/or Binance Margin platforms, and accept the Terms of Use. The quizzes are set up to ensure users are aware of the risks before trading tokens with the Monitoring Tag. $BTC is currently consolidating just below its recent highs, but the bigger picture still leans bullish. Historically, May has often been a positive month for $BTC and when you combine that with strong ETF inflows and supportive equity markets, the chances of upside continuation increase.
However, the market isn’t without risks. Rising bond yields — especially the U.S. 30-year touching 5% — are creating pressure on risk assets. On top of that, geopolitical tensions, particularly around Iran and energy prices, could act as major macro headwinds not just for $BTC coin but for the broader financial markets.
From a technical perspective, Bitcoin is showing signs of strengthening momentum. The 50-day moving average is close to crossing above the 100-day moving average, which is generally considered a bullish signal. If this crossover holds, it could support further upside in the coming weeks.
