4 months ago: bought 265,461 $ETHFI ($118K) at $0.44. Got stopped out, had to take the loss.
Now: same wallet, 1.897M $ETHFI ($1.17M) accumulated at $0.163. That’s 7x the volume at 63% lower price.
When a whale takes a loss and comes back to the same coin months later with 7x the conviction and a much better entry, that’s not averaging down out of desperation, that’s a deliberate repositioning.
Hayes doesn’t need to be right on every trade. But when he buys the same coin after taking a loss at a higher price, and comes back with this much more capital at a lower price, he’s essentially saying the thesis got better, not worse.

ETH pumping + $ARB pumping = money flowing into the Ethereum ecosystem. When ETH leads, the beta plays tend to follow in order. Here’s the rotation I’m watching:
🟣 Layer-2s — $OP is the closest correlated to ARB, then $POL · $STRK · $ZK. If L2 narrative runs, this rocket’s whole basket moves.
🔵 LST / Restaking — $LDO · $ETHFI · $EIGEN · $ENA. These are leveraged ETH — they usually pump harder than ETH itself when the flow hits.
🟢 ETH DeFi blue chips — $UNI · $AAVE · $PENDLE · $LINK catch the later rotation as money settles in.
The sequence matters: ETH runs first → high-beta L2s and LSTs run next and harder → laggards fill in last. I’m watching where the flow rotates, not front-running one candle.
⚠️ Beta cuts both ways — if ETH stalls, these fade faster than ETH does. Size accordingly.
