LayerZero Sets December 15, 2026 as Final STG-to-ZRO Swap Deadline
LayerZero has set December 15, 2026 as the last day for users to swap STG for ZRO, closing the Stargate acquisition. After that date, the conversion portal will shut down permanently.
The project is coordinating with major platforms, market makers and custodians to handle the transition. STG holders need to complete the swap before the deadline to preserve their rights.
Ahead of the Zero mainnet launch, control of the ZRO contract will move to the OneSig mechanism, while the DVN verification network raises its mandatory approval threshold to 4/4 to strengthen security.
For STG holders, this is both a deadline and a checkpoint — swap first, then watch a more tightly verified Zero network go live.
Current price: $0.04359 (+8.06% 24h). Last closed H1 candle: $0.04354, up 8.20% from $0.04024 at the close 24 candles earlier. 24h high: $0.04385, 24h low: $0.04008.
After dipping to $0.04076 earlier today, NIGHT has climbed back toward its 24h high — momentum is up, but the setup works best on a hold above Entry, not a chase above the high.
Invalidation: a sustained break below 0.0429 voids the long and opens a pullback toward 0.0420-0.0410. Holding Entry keeps the path open through TP1 and TP2 toward TP3, above the 24h high.
US Opens the Door to Stock Trading With No Expiry Date
The CFTC, the US futures market regulator, has approved perpetual futures tied to individual US stocks. These contracts let investors take a long or short position on a stock price with no expiry date. It is not yet clear which exchanges will offer them or when trading will begin.
Since September, exchanges including Coinbase, Kalshi, Kraken and OG. com have filed proposals to offer this product. The CFTC had already allowed some perpetual futures linked to Bitcoin and crypto.
CME Group, however, has sued the CFTC, arguing these contracts need tighter regulation and that the agency overstepped its authority. The CFTC counters that CME has not shown any harm and could list a similar product itself.
The move brings a crypto-style instrument into traditional equities, but the legal fight with CME is far from over.
Trump: Iran War Partly to Blame for Republican Midterm Losses
President Trump says the Iran war is partly to blame for Republican losses in the midterms, per WSJ — but he still has no regrets about the decision to start it.
It is a striking admission of political cost without any walk-back of the original call. Trump is effectively conceding the war hurt his party at the ballot box, while standing by the decision itself.
That framing sets up a sharper debate in Washington over what comes next on Iran, as the midterm results reshape the balance of power.
Binance Hacker Pivots to THORChain to Launder Stolen SOL into BTC
According to Lookonchain, the hacker behind the $6.3 billion Binance exploit is now routing stolen SOL through a multi-step swap chain to end up with BTC.
The laundering path so far: - Stolen SOL is dispersed across multiple wallets - SOL is sold for USDC - USDC is bridged to Ethereum to buy ETH - ETH is then swapped into BTC via THORChain
Each hop makes the funds harder to trace, and the move to THORChain shows the hacker is still actively converting the haul rather than sitting on the original stolen assets.
Current price: $1.2605 (+0.66% 24h). Last closed H1 candle: $1.2493, up 0.07% from $1.2484 at the close 24 candles earlier. 24h high: $1.2914, 24h low: $1.2420.
XRP ran to $1.2914, pulled back to its 24h low of $1.2420, and is now bouncing sharply back to $1.2605 in the current H1 candle — a rebound off the low, standing apart from BTC and BNB's breakdown.
Invalidation: a sustained break below 1.2420 kills the long and opens a retest of 1.2355. While price holds above Entry, the path points up through TP1 and TP2 toward TP3, a retest of the 24h high.
Current price: $1,179.27 (+3.60% 24h). Last closed H1 candle: $1,175.99, up 3.58% from $1,135.36 at the close 24 candles earlier. 24h high: $1,245.13, 24h low: $1,120.03.
ZEC rallied from $1,120 to $1,245, pulled back to around $1,159, and is now bouncing — a buy-the-dip setup in an uptrend, not a chase of the top.
Invalidation: a sustained break below 1,155 kills the long and opens a retest of 1,135. While price holds above Entry, the path points up through TP1 and TP2 toward TP3, a retest of the 24h high.
Current price: $686.33 (-1.30% 24h). Last closed H1 candle: $685.86, down 1.44% from $695.86 at the close 24 candles earlier. 24h high: $703.30, 24h low: $681.00.
BNB just broke hard from around $701 to a fresh low of $681 in the last two H1 candles, falling with BTC as sellers take control.
Invalidation: a sustained move back above 697 kills the short and opens a retest of 703. While price stays below Entry, the path points down through TP1 and TP2 toward TP3.
Current price: $76,048 (-1.18% 24h). Last closed H1 candle: $76,170, down 0.70% from $76,705 at the close 24 candles earlier. 24h high: $78,063, 24h low: $75,736.
The breakdown from $78K to around $75.7K, as Democrats took control of the US House, leaves sellers in charge on H1.
Invalidation: a sustained move back above 76,800 kills the short and opens a retest of 77,300. While price stays below Entry, the path of least resistance points down through TP1 and TP2 toward TP3, on the way to the $73K - $74K demand zone.
ZachXBT names the $133M theft target: French bank Crédit Mutuel Arkéa.
On November 4, on-chain investigator ZachXBT disclosed that the financial institution allegedly hit by a crypto theft exceeding $133 million is Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, a French banking group with roughly $235 billion in assets.
It follows his earlier report that an EU-based entity was suspected of losing more than $106 million from multiple centralized exchange accounts on November 1. The suspected attacker withdrew funds in USDC and USDT, then swapped into ETH and privacy coin XMR, moving the money across multiple blockchains.
🚨 MARKET: Stock futures slip as investors await US midterm results, with S&P 500 futures down 0.5% and Nasdaq futures down 0.9%.
Bitcoin drops more than 1% to around $76,800 as traders grow confident Democrats will retake the Senate, with Ether and other major coins close behind.
The midterm wait is now the market's main driver — risk appetite is fading until the Senate picture clears.
How the Binance hack unfolded: a fake recruiter, a fake job, and months of patience — Binance has now updated the timeline.
- June: A Binance engineer downloaded a fake AI tool carrying malware. Binance caught and handled it, but the attackers had already learned more about the wallet management team.
- September: Posing as a Project Director, the hacker contacted another Binance engineer through a legitimate job platform and ran two interview rounds. At the end, the engineer was asked to download a coding test laced with malware onto a company computer — the foothold was in.
- October 20: Using the compromised machine and an internal AI tool, the attackers reached two more engineers, and found information granting software deployment rights on the wallet management system.
- October 29: With the stolen access, they interfered with the internal transaction signing service and moved BTC, XRP, SOL, OP and other assets out of Binance hot wallets.
Binance also said its security team detected and blocked 57 suspected North Korea-linked cyberattacks in 2026, many using the same playbook: fake recruiters, malware hidden in software, or rigged online meeting apps.
🇺🇸 INSIGHT: Don't confuse the midterm pattern with a midterm cause — that's CryptoQuant's warning on Bitcoin.
Since 2010, Bitcoin has gained a median average of 63% in the 12 months after every US midterm election. The recent cases look strong: +36.8% after the 2014 midterms, +45.8% after 2018, and +80.8% after 2022.
But CryptoQuant says the pattern may simply mirror Bitcoin's four-year halving cycle, since midterms and halvings run on the same clock — and 2026 is already showing a different trend.
Overnight, gold held around $3.9K, Bitcoin pushed toward $78K before pulling back, and US stocks recovered as money flowed back into chips — AMD rose 5% after hours on an earnings beat.
This morning, all eyes are on the US midterm results, where betting markets are leaning firmly toward the Democrats. If they take both chambers, friction with the Trump administration could shape crypto policy and the standoff with Iran.
As of 7am, Democrats hold 83 House seats and 42 Senate seats, against 60 and 34 for Republicans. Neither side has enough yet to clinch control.
On the war front, Qatar-mediated talks continue, but Iran says the two sides remain far apart. Trump has also said the US has no immediate plan to attack Iran.
US and Iran are still far from a deal to end the war, senior Iranian officials say.
Talks are continuing through Qatar, but the gap between the two sides remains wide. The message is clear: diplomacy is alive, yet a breakthrough is not close.
For markets watching the region, that means uncertainty stays in play — negotiations ongoing, agreement still distant.
