🇧🇷 Brazil wants to be able to freeze suspects' cryptocurrencies even before a conviction.
Brazil's Chamber of Deputies has taken an important step in the fight against cybercrime.
A bill approved by the Finance Committee would allow courts to order the freezing of crypto assets held on exchanges, as well as traditional bank accounts, when an individual is under investigation for cyber-related offenses.
The proposal also seeks to increase the maximum prison sentence for certain computer crimes from 8 to 10 years.
This initiative is part of a broader global trend aimed at extending to digital assets the same seizure and freezing tools already used in traditional financial investigations.

L'opération est un succès : 18 personnes et entités inculpées, 25 millions de dollars saisis, plusieurs dirigeants arrêtés.
