I spent last night exploring Kite’s documentation to understand what it really takes for AI agents to operate independently in the crypto economy.

Initially, I thought blockchain payments were the biggest challenge. But Kite’s Core Agent Services and Kite Chain made me realize that true autonomy requires much more than transactions.

One feature that caught my attention is the ability to define an agent’s budget, permissions, and operational scope before it starts working. These limits are essential, but some questions remain: Who controls them? Can permissions be revoked immediately if an agent behaves unexpectedly? And how are conflicting instructions resolved?

Kite Chain also looks interesting, with deterministic finality, native stablecoin settlement, and EVM compatibility. These features could help agents make predictable payments and interact with existing blockchain infrastructure.

However, performance alone isn't enough. I would also want to understand how validators are selected, how decentralization is maintained, and what happens when critical infrastructure becomes unavailable.

Governance is another important factor. As AI agents handle more financial activities, transparency and accountability will become just as important as speed and efficiency.

For me, the real promise of Kite isn't simply enabling AI agents to transact. It's creating an environment where they can operate autonomously while remaining secure, accountable, and subject to clear rules.
