🚨 Crisis aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln

After more than 250 days on deployment, sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln are reportedly facing severe exhaustion and collapsing morale. Families and crew members have described suicidal thoughts and incidents in which sailors allegedly tried — or were stopped from trying — to jump overboard.

The carrier has spent roughly 200 days without a normal port call, while sailors have reported problems ranging from food rationing and water shortages to broken laundry facilities and extreme psychological strain. The U.S. Navy says conditions have improved and disputes claims of an increase in suicidal behavior.
