The agentic economy is growing right now. Not long ago, AI only answered questions, and today it books tickets, provisions compute, and buys data. Keys are separated: the master key stays with the user, the agent has its own, and a one-time session key is issued for each task. The user can also stop the agent at any time, and every payment leaves a record on the blockchain.

And what if there is no reliable infrastructure for agents? One leaked card or API key can cost you everything. A looping agent with no limits can burn through an entire budget overnight. A service can't tell an agent of a real person apart from a bot farm. When something goes wrong, no one can prove who authorized what. Cards, with their fees, aren't suited for micropayments. Because of this, companies won't let agents near real money. Kite solves these problems at the network level itself.

This isn't theory. Mainnet launched on April 30, 2026, over 90 services are already connected, and there is compatibility with x402, AP2 from Google, and MCP. The project is backed by PayPal Ventures, General Catalyst, and Coinbase Ventures, and a partner at PayPal Ventures called it the first true infrastructure for the agentic economy.
