BTC already pushed toward $87,000 and got rejected.
Now price is back near $85.3K.
At first glance, this looks boring.
But this is exactly where the next major move could begin.
Here’s what I’m watching 👇
🔍 WHAT IS BTC DOING RIGHT NOW?
Bitcoin is trading around $85,338.
24H Range:
🔺 High: $86,999
🔻 Low: $84,972
The important part?
BTC tested the $87K area, failed to hold it, and dropped back toward $85K.
Recent 1H candles also show sellers becoming aggressive above $86K–$87K.
But buyers have repeatedly appeared around $85K.
That creates a very clear battlefield.
🟢 SCENARIO 1: BTC HOLDS $85K
If buyers continue defending roughly $84.9K–$85.2K, Bitcoin could build another recovery attempt.
The first important reclaim is around:
🎯 $85.6K–$86K
Above that, BTC can challenge:
🎯 $86.7K–$87K
And THIS is the real confirmation area.
A strong breakout and hold above $87K would change the structure considerably.
Instead of another rejection, the market could start searching for liquidity above the recent high.
🔥 $85K holds → $86K reclaim → $87K breakout = bullish continuation scenario.
🔴 SCENARIO 2: $85K BREAKS
This is where traders need to be careful.
BTC's 24H low is around $84,972.
If Bitcoin starts closing below approximately $84.9K with increasing selling pressure, the current support structure becomes weaker.
That could trigger:
• Stop losses below support
• Long liquidations
• Momentum traders entering short
• A search for the next lower liquidity zone
So I would NOT automatically buy simply because BTC reaches $85K.
Support needs to prove that it is support.
⚠️ WHY COULD THE NEXT MOVE BE BIG?
Bitcoin currently has something both bulls and bears want.
Liquidity.
Bulls see $85K as potential support.
Bears see the rejection from almost $87K.
That means traders are building positions on BOTH sides of the range.
Eventually one side gets trapped.
And when price escapes the range, those forced exits can help accelerate the move.
Interestingly, current BTC perpetual funding is roughly neutral/slightly negative.
That means I'm not seeing an extreme positive-funding signal that would automatically suggest the market is massively overcrowded with longs.
🧠 WHAT SHOULD TRADERS DO?
Don't predict.
Let Bitcoin confirm.
🟢 Bullish confirmation:
Hold ~$85K → reclaim $86K → break and hold $87K.
🔴 Bearish confirmation:
Lose ~$84.9K decisively → fail to reclaim it → downside structure opens.
🟡 Between those levels?
Patience may be the best trade.
Chasing BTC in the middle of a decision zone gives you less confirmation and potentially worse risk/reward.
🎯 MY BTC ROADMAP
Current: ~$85.3K
🛡️ Critical support: $84.9K–$85.2K
⚔️ First resistance: $85.6K–$86K
🚨 Major resistance: $86.7K–$87K
Bitcoin doesn't need another prediction right now.
It needs confirmation.
The reaction around $85K and $87K could tell us which side controls the next move.
👀 Which breaks first: $87K or $85K?
