🇺🇸🇮🇷🇴🇲 The U.S., Iran and Oman are closing in on a temporary arrangement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with NO TOLLS attached.
Under the 60-day plan, ships entering the Persian Gulf would use a northern lane through Iranian waters while vessels leaving would take a southern lane through Omani waters.
The period can also be extended.
Naval mines would begin to be cleared from the central lane within 30 days, with the goal of eventually restoring two-way traffic under a longer-term agreement.
Iran continues to insist any arrangement is temporary until "American aggression" stops.
