Bitcoin closed the week right on the Weekly MA 50 near $80,349. This is a major test, not a breakout.
Here’s what matters next
Bitcoin is still in the downtrend that started from the 2025 high.
$83K is now the key level to break.
Until that happens, the breakout is not confirmed.
Bullish signs:
- Weekly MACD is turning up
- RSI closed at 59
- RSI is holding its rising trendline
Bearish sign:
- RSI has formed a "bearish divergence"
There are 2 scenarios from here:
- Bullish: BTC holds $76,200 and closes the week above $83K. That would break the falling trendline, with $90K and $98K as the next major levels.
- Bearish: BTC loses the Weekly MA 50 and falls below $76,200. If that happens, the next major test is the Weekly MA 200 at around $65,000.
