$HYPE hit an all-time high of $88.04 on Sept 3 and is generating real revenue (~$2.8M in fees in a single 24h window) — genuinely rare for an altcoin this cycle. But a 9.92M token unlock (~1% of supply, ~$820M) just hit the market on Sept 6. How the market absorbs that unlock over the next week or two is arguably the single most useful thing to watch in crypto right now — more telling than another $BTC candle. Compare that to $ETH , still stuck in the $2,400-2,500 range and lagging badly despite the broader rally.

Sept 15-16 just got loaded. The Fed's rate decision and the Senate's CLARITY Act cloture vote both land the same week — one moves liquidity, the other moves regulatory clarity for the whole industry. Prediction markets have cooled on CLARITY passing in 2026 (down to the mid-teens % from 80%+ earlier this year), even as short-term price action stays hot. Worth separating the two stories: legislative reality is moving slower than the charts suggest.

$80K held — barely. $BTC dipped to ~$78.6K midweek before clawing back above $80K over the weekend, right after August's jobs report smashed forecasts (162K vs. 56K expected). That reignited Fed rate-hike bets, now pricing in ~58-59% odds for the Sept 15-16 meeting. Total crypto market cap is still up 17.6% this month to $2.7T, per Binance Research — so the bigger trend is intact even with this chop. $80K flips from resistance to real support if CPI cooperates this week.
