YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT CRYPTO. BUT YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE BUYING. One mistake beginners make is buying a coin because someone online says it will rise. Before investing in any crypto asset, ask yourself: ✅ What problem is this project trying to solve? ✅ What does the token actually do? ✅ What are the major risks? ✅ Where can I verify the project's information? ✅ Can I afford to lose the money I'm considering investing? A useful starting point is Binance Academy, which provides educational resources about blockchain, cryptocurrency, trading concepts, and security. You can explore it here: [https://academy.binance.com/](https://academy.binance.com/) Don't confuse learning about a project with an endorsement of that project. Education helps you ask better questions; it does not eliminate investment risk. My goal with this page is to make crypto easier to understand, one practical lesson at a time. Is a Cheap Coin Really Cheap? Price vs Market Cap ExplainedDay 6 of my crypto learning series When I started learning crypto, one idea felt obvious: a coin priced at $0.01 must be cheap, and a coin priced at $50,000 must be expensive. It turns out this is one of the most common beginner mistakes. The price of one coin does not tell you how big or how valuable the whole coin is. Here is what I learned, in simple words. What is price? Price is simply what one coin costs right now. If a coin is priced at $2, then buying one coin costs $2. That is all it tells you. What is market cap? Market cap is short for market capitalization. It shows the total size of a coin, and it is calculated like this: Market cap = price × circulating supply Circulating supply means the number of coins that are available and trading right now. A simple example (made-up numbers) Imagine two coins: Coin A: price $0.01, with 100 billion coins in circulation. Market cap = $1 billion.Coin B: price $0.50, with 2 billion coins in circulation. Market cap = $1 billion. Both coins have the same market cap. They are the same size. But Coin A looks “cheap” because each coin costs just one cent. Coin A is not cheaper. It just has many more coins. This is why a low price alone does not mean cheap. Think of it like pizza Imagine two pizzas of the same size. One is cut into 4 big slices, and the other into 100 tiny slices. A tiny slice costs less, but you are not getting a better deal. The whole pizza is the same size. Price is the price of one slice. Market cap is the price of the whole pizza. Other numbers to read next to price Circulating supply. The coins available now. It affects market cap directly. Max supply. The most coins that can ever exist. Bitcoin has a maximum of 21 million. Ethereum has no fixed maximum, as we learned on Day 2. Fully diluted valuation (FDV). This is the value if all future coins already existed at today’s price. If there is a big gap between market cap and FDV, many coins have not been released yet. More coins entering the market later could affect the price. FDV is a theoretical number, so treat it as a warning sign, not a prediction. 24-hour trading volume. How much of the coin was bought and sold in the last day. It shows how active the market is. A coin with very low volume can be hard to sell at the price you see. What market cap does not tell you It is not money invested. Market cap is just the last price multiplied by supply. Nobody put that full amount in.It does not mean a coin is a good buy. It helps you compare size, not decide value. It can be shaky for small coins. Small coins can move a lot, even on small trades.Supply numbers can differ. Different sites may count “circulating supply” slightly differently, so compare more than one source. A simple checklist before you judge any coin Don’t judge by price alone.Check the market cap.Check circulating supply and max supply.Compare market cap with FDV.Look at 24-hour volume.Check the same numbers on more than one source. Final thoughts Price is one small piece of the picture. Market cap, supply, and volume help you see the rest. Understanding them will not tell you what will happen next, because nobody can predict that. But it will stop you from making the “cheap coin” mistake. I am not recommending any coin in this series. Is a Cheap Coin Really Cheap? Price vs Market Cap Explained

Day 6 of my crypto learning series
When I started learning crypto, one idea felt obvious: a coin priced at $0.01 must be cheap, and a coin priced at $50,000 must be expensive.
It shows the total size of a coin, and it is calculated like this:
Market cap = price × circulating supply
Circulating supply means the number of coins that are available and trading right now.
A simple example (made-up numbers)
Imagine two coins:
Coin A: price $0.01, with 100 billion coins in circulation.
Think of it like pizza
Imagine two pizzas of the same size. One is cut into 4 big slices, and the other into 100 tiny slices. A tiny slice costs less, but you are not getting a better deal. The whole pizza is the same size. Price is the price of one slice. Market cap is the price of the whole pizza.
Other numbers to read next to price
Circulating supply.
What market cap does not tell you
It is not money invested. Market cap is just the last price multiplied by supply. Nobody put that full amount in.It does not mean a coin is a good buy. What Is a Crypto Exchange? 6 Things to Check Before You Trust OneDay 5 of my crypto learning series When people decide to buy their first crypto, the first question is usually “where do I buy it?” For most beginners, the answer is a crypto exchange. But I realized something while learning: choosing the exchange is just as important as choosing what to buy. Here is what I learned, in simple words. What is a crypto exchange? A crypto exchange is a platform where you can buy, sell, and trade cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin ($BTC) and Ethereum ($ETH). It sits in the middle between buyers and sellers, a bit like a marketplace. You create an account, add money, and place an order. Remember Day 3? This is where it matters On Day 3, I learned the difference between custodial and non-custodial wallets. Most exchange accounts are custodial. That means the company holds the keys to your crypto, not you. This is convenient. You can log in with a password, and the company can help if you get locked out. But it also means you are trusting that company to protect your money. That is why choosing carefully matters. 6 things to check before you trust an exchange 1. Security. Look for two-factor authentication (2FA). This means that to log in you need your password plus a code from your phone. A password alone is easier to steal. Good exchanges also keep most customer funds in “cold storage,” which means offline, away from hackers. 2. Proof of reserves. This is a report showing that the exchange really holds the assets it says it holds for its users. It is not a guarantee of safety, but it is a good sign of transparency. An exchange that hides everything is a worse sign. 3. Rules and licensing. Check whether the exchange follows the laws of the country where you live. Rules differ a lot from country to country, so look up your own. Many exchanges ask for ID verification (KYC). That can feel annoying, but it is normal. 4. Fees. Most beginners only look at trading fees. But there can also be deposit fees and withdrawal fees. Some exchanges advertise low trading fees but charge more elsewhere. Read the whole fee page before you start. 5. Withdrawals. Can you move your crypto to your own wallet whenever you want? Before putting in a large amount, test with a very small one. If withdrawing is slow or confusing, think twice. 6. Support and history. Can you reach a real person if something goes wrong? How did the company handle problems in the past? A clear history is better than big promises. Mistakes beginners can avoid Choosing the biggest name only. Popular does not automatically mean safest. Check the six points above anyway.Skipping 2FA. It takes two minutes to turn on and adds a strong layer of protection. Use an authenticator app if you can.Clicking links in messages. Fake websites can look exactly like real ones. Type the official address yourself or use the official app.Sharing sensitive information. A real exchange will never ask for your password, your 2FA code, or your seed phrase. If someone does, it is a scam. (We covered this on Day 4.)Leaving everything on the exchange without thinking. For small amounts you are learning with, it may be fine. But understand the trade-off: if you don’t hold the keys, you rely on the company. A simple starting routine Pick an exchange using the six checks.Turn on 2FA before you add any money.Start with a small test amount.Practice a test withdrawal to your own wallet.Keep learning before you put in more. Final thoughts An exchange is a tool, not a guarantee. It can make buying crypto easier, but the safest approach is to check, start small, and stay careful. I am not recommending any specific exchange in this series. Please do your own research and check the rules in your country. This is learning, not financial advice. Ever wondered what a blockchain actually is without the confusing tech jargon? Let’s break it down! Imagine a shared digital notebook that thousands of computers maintain at the same time. Whenever someone makes a transaction, it gets written on a page (a block). Once that page is filled and verified by the network, it gets permanently linked to the previous page (forming a chain). Because everyone holds an identical copy, no single person can secretly change the records. That transparency and decentralization are what make networks like Bitcoin and Ethereum fundamentally secure. Today, Bitcoin trades around $81,485 (-0.50% in 24h) and Ethereum sits near $2,425.18 (-1.27% in 24h). While market prices fluctuate daily, the underlying blockchain technology remains focused on one core mission: secure, trustless record-keeping. Understanding the technology behind your assets is the best first step toward smart risk management. *Reminder: Cryptocurrency markets carry risk. Day 1 of My Crypto Learning: Understanding Bitcoin ($BTC) 📚 I want to understand crypto properly, not just repeat headlines. So I’m learning Bitcoin through 7 questions 👇 👤 WHO made it? Someone called “Satoshi Nakamoto.” That’s a pseudonym. Nobody knows if it’s one person or a group. ❓ WHAT is it? Bitcoin is the network and software. BTC is the coin you send on it. 📅 WHEN? The paper came out in October 2008. The first block was made on 3 January 2009, with a headline about bank bailouts written inside it. 🌍 WHERE? No company or country runs it. Thousands of computers (called nodes) follow the same rules. 💡 WHY? Online, anyone can copy a file. So how do you stop someone spending the same digital money twice? Banks used to do that job. Bitcoin tries to do it without a middleman. ⚙️ HOW? • Nodes check every payment and block. Anything that breaks the rules is rejected. • Miners compete by using computer power to add the next block. The winner earns new BTC and fees. • Miners propose blocks, but nodes can reject them. Think of a shared notebook that thousands of people copy. Adding a page costs real work, and everyone checks it first. 🔢 HOW MANY? Never more than 21 million. A bit over 20 million are already mined. New supply is cut in half about every 4 years. 💰 Does a limit make it valuable? Not automatically. A limit only matters if people want it. Value comes from demand, trust, how easy it is to trade, and also speculation.
