🇺🇸🇾🇪 Will the United States Eventually Enter the Yemen War?

The question of direct U.S. military involvement in Yemen is gaining attention as Houthi forces advance toward the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait.

According to Reuters and other reports, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman asked President Donald Trump to authorize direct U.S. strikes against the Houthis.

Trump reportedly declined for now, while Washington agreed to continue providing intelligence-sharing and targeting support to Saudi Arabia.

The U.S. is therefore already involved indirectly. Reports say more than 100 U.S. military advisers are in Saudi Arabia providing intelligence and targeting assistance.

The strategic concern is significant: Bab al-Mandab is a major international shipping corridor, while the wider regional conflict has also disrupted traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
