🚨
$TTWO - JUST WEEKS AWAY FROM GTA VI
We’re getting closer.
🎮 GTA VI launches November 19, 2026.
And if you look back at what happened around GTA V, the setup becomes VERY interesting.
GTA V launched on September 17, 2013.
By the time launch arrived,
$TTWO had already been climbing hard as anticipation built. On launch day, GTA V generated an insane $800M in first-day sales — and
$TTWO shares closed higher that day. (Yahoo Finance)
But the bigger story wasn’t just launch day.
GTA V → GTA Online → years of recurring spending → multiple console generations.
Take-Two now says GTA V has sold over 230M units worldwide, while the GTA franchise has surpassed 470M units. (Take-Two Interactive)
Now look at GTA VI.
📅 November 19, 2026
💰 $79.99 Standard Edition
💎 $99.99 Ultimate Edition
🔥 Already seeing exceptional preorder demand
📈 Take-Two expects FY2027 Net Bookings of $8.0–$8.2B, with GTA VI as a major driver. (Take-Two Interactive)
The interesting question isn’t:
“Will GTA VI be successful?”
It’s:
“How much of that success is already priced into
$TTWO ?”
GTA V created a completely new recurring-revenue engine for Take-Two.
If GTA VI creates another one, the stock story doesn’t necessarily end on launch day.
Launch → GTA Online → recurring spending → future content → potentially PC → years of monetization.
That is the trajectory I’m watching.
Not financial advice. Just a historical comparison + thesis worth watching.
